About The Feldman Awards Administration Committee
Brian Feldman is an Orlando-based filmmaker and performance artist who has performed locally with the Center Players, Lake Howell Theater Company, Orlando Theatre Project, Orlando-UCF Shakespeare Festival, SCC Fine Arts Theatre, Theatre Downtown and most infamously, Universal Studios Florida®. Brian’s screenplay based on his performance art piece, The Feldman Dynamic, is currently under consideration for the Sundance Screenwriters Lab; the show can next be seen in Little Havana this December. He’s the producer and host of Flicks on Fairbanks at Austins Coffee in Winter Park, director-at-large of FilmTree (formerly Group 101 Films Orlando), for which he has overseen the creation of 40 short films and, believe it or not, once auditioned for Juilliard. Brian’s been involved as an Orlando Fringe artist on three occasions: as an actor in I Never Saw Another Butterfly (1996), as conceptualizer-producer-director-himself in I Shouldn’t Be Here Right Now (a show about direction, or lack thereof) and The Feldman Dynamic (2004) and this past year as a Visual Fringe Artist. He currently has four works of photobooth art on view at Stardust Video and Coffee. Visit his website at brianfeldman.com, if you’d like.
Adrienne Feldman is about to become very busy, she’s a stage management apprentice with the Orlando-UCF Shakespeare Festival for the 2006-2007 season. Coincidentally, Adrienne got her start in theater with OSF, appearing in Macbeth at age seven. She holds an A.A. Degree in Theatre from Seminole Community College and is currently a BFA Stage Management candidate at UCF. As a resident company member of Orlando Theatre Project, she has worked on such productions as Wit, Proof and The Underpants. Other local companies she has worked with include the Center Players, Theatre Downtown and Lake Howell Theater Company. Adrienne is also 1/4 of The Feldman Dynamic, the performance art family which has appeared at the New York and Orlando International Fringe Festivals. She’s been an Orlando Fringe volunteer for the past three years and a student of dance for eleven. For up-to-date information, visit her website at adriennefeldman.com.
Please note that these awards are only 47% reflective. That is, only 27 of the 57 shows at this year's Orlando Fringe were actually seen and therefore eligible for Feldman Awards consideration. Next year, the intent is that all productions presented as part of the Orlando International Fringe Theatre Festival will be seen and given full consideration. To have seen all 57 shows at the 2006 Orlando Fringe, without discounts, would have cost $544 - for one person. Thank you very much for understanding.
The Feldman Awards are not sanctioned, endorsed or sponsored by the Orlando International Fringe Theatre Festival.
